Purpose-built for subwoofer applications, the RD1000/1 monoblock amplifier delivers 1000 watts of jaw-dropping bass output into 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD). At the heart of this ultra-sleek and compact power plant is JL Audio’s exclusive NexD Class D technology, permitting high power output with exceptional efficiency and low distortion.
For your convenience, all of the RD1000/1’s controls are located on top of the amplifier, beneath a protective cover, with all connections found along one side of its chassis. Signal processing features include a 12 dB / octave low-pass filter, with continuously variable frequency selection from 50-500 Hz, and a variable bass boost EQ. Dual-range, differential-balance inputs are also onboard, capable of accepting most input voltage levels. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is standard, along with a set of preamp outputs so you can easily pass signals to another amplifier.
The RD1000/1 is also equipped with an onboard LED-clipping indicator. This all-new, innovative feature lets you easily set your amplifier’s input sensitivity setting, quickly and accurately, with no special equipment needed. The RD1000/1 features a durable, black powder-coated finish and a top-mounted, dual-color LED light strip that reports the overall status and condition. Control of the subwoofer level from the driver’s seat is easily accomplished with the addition of the optional RBC-1 remote level control (sold separately).

Designed to simplify great audio, every VXi amplifier combines our advanced NexD2 switching amplifier technology with an integrated, full-featured digital signal processor.
Employing our second generation NexD2 amplifier technology, the VX700/5i efficiently powers a complete audio system. It can drive four main speakers with 75 W x 4 @ 4 ohms while also powering a subwoofer with up to 300W @ 2 ohms. Bridging the main channels converts it into a very powerful, 3-channel system amplifier with up to 200W x 2 @ 4 ohms on the main channels and 300W @ 2 ohms on the subwoofer channel.
The NexD2 full-range technology in the main channels of this amplifier is DSP-controlled and features a reduced loop area design utilizing DirectFET outputs for outstanding fidelity, very low noise and exceptional efficiency. The subwoofer channel features an optimized low-frequency variant of the NexD2 technology. The XD800/8v2 is the industry’s first Class D amplifier to offer eight channels of full-range output capability and is capable of delivering a staggering 100 watts to each of its eight channels @ 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD). The breakthrough that makes this much power possible in such a small chassis is our NexD ultra-high-speed switching design, which allows for full bandwidth Class D operation with extremely low distortion and outstanding efficiency.
The XD800/8v2 includes a 12 dB / octave filter for each channel bank, which can be configured as a low-pass or high-pass filter, and offers continuously variable cutoff frequency selection from 50-500 Hz.
The XD800/8v2 also features the v2 Spec feature set, which consists of automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing), and a dual-range differential-balanced input section able to handle a wide range of input voltage levels. With the addition of an HD-RLC remote level control (sold separately), you have the ability to control the level of two, four, or all eight of the amplifier’s channel levels from the driver’s seat.
