Custom-fit (CF) Speaker System: 2.75″ (70 mm) Mid-Tweeter
Engineered to deliver amazing sound from factory locations, CF speakers are designed with shallow polymer frames and breakaway mounting tabs for maximum compatibility in today’s most popular vehicles, including those from Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Toyota and many more.
CF drivers benefit from our proprietary FEA modeling and expertise in loudspeaker design. This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly while maintaining a smooth, dynamic low-distortion sound. At the core of the CF-275mt mid-tweeter is a proprietary, 2.75″ (70 mm) composite frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. An ultralight, fiber-reinforced pulp cone with a custom “S” roll surround delivers excellent efficiency and extended high-frequency response. A flat, progressive-roll spider ensures linear compliance, while the neodymium motor packs astonishing energy from an ultracompact and lightweight package. Each speaker’s glass-filled, high-temperature polymer frame is outfitted with insert-molded terminals and a low-profile perforated metal grille to easily fit behind factory trim while providing excellent UV protection in exposed dashboard locations.
For passive applications as midtreble speakers, in-line, second order high-pass filters are included to enhance smoothness and improve power handling. CF-275mt speakers can also be used actively, as true midrange or mid-tweeter drivers to create outstanding two-way or three-way systems. For active applications, we recommend a high-quality digital signal processor (DSP), such as the JL Audio TwK® DSP or a VXi amplifier with built-in DSP, and the recommended bandwidths below.

Born from shared technologies used in our flagship C7 speakers, the C6-100ct component tweeter benefits from vast speaker design experience and advanced modeling systems of JL Audio.
Ideal for active systems, the C6-100ct component tweeter features an edge-driven, pure silk dome diaphragm for smooth, high-frequency performance with remarkable off-axis response and damping. A neodymium motor and ferrofluid cooling provide high-magnetic flux and improved reliability with extended response from a very compact motor system. Surface- and flush-mount fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation applications.
Passive crossover networks are not included with C6 drivers, as they are designed for active systems. Instead, we recommend a high-quality tuning digital signal processor (DSP), such as the JL Audio TwK® DSP or a VXi amplifier with built-in DSP, with a dedicated amplifier channel for each C6 loudspeaker in the system. Precise setup of equalization, delay and crossover filters will ensure optimal in-vehicle performance.

Benefiting from vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems of JL Audio, the 6.5 inch (165 mm) C6 component woofers feature purpose-engineered, cast alloy frames outfitted with our Elevated Frame Cooling technology. A DMA-optimized, forged and machined motor system generates outstanding midbass impact with ultra-low distortion.
The 1″ (25 mm) C6 component tweeters feature edge-driven pure silk dome diaphragms for smooth high-frequency performance with remarkable off-axis response and damping. Each C6 passive crossover also includes an advanced electronic tweeter protection circuit designed to minimize the possibility of tweeter failure.

0.75-inch (19 mm) Aluminum Dome Tweeters
C1 component tweeters are engineered to deliver refined performance, with excellent off-axis response and high-frequency extension. Utilizing true, edge driven 0.75-inch aluminum domes with silk suspensions, the C1-075ct component tweeters provide smooth, detailed reproduction of treble frequencies from 4 to 24 kHz.
The tweeters can be flush-mounted or surface-mounted with the supplied fixtures to fit a wide variety of installation needs. Inline, outboard, 12 dB / octave, high-pass filters are included to ensure smooth response and reliability. These filters also are equipped with Advanced Tweeter Protection Circuitry to improve power handling and reliability.
