1 inch (25 mm) Silk Dome Component Tweeter
Born from shared technologies used in our flagship C7 speakers, the C6-100ct component tweeter benefits from vast speaker design experience and advanced modeling systems of JL Audio.
Ideal for active systems, the C6-100ct component tweeter features an edge-driven, pure silk dome diaphragm for smooth, high-frequency performance with remarkable off-axis response and damping. A neodymium motor and ferrofluid cooling provide high-magnetic flux and improved reliability with extended response from a very compact motor system. Surface- and flush-mount fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation applications.
Passive crossover networks are not included with C6 drivers, as they are designed for active systems. Instead, we recommend a high-quality tuning digital signal processor (DSP), such as the JL Audio TwK® DSP or a VXi amplifier with built-in DSP, with a dedicated amplifier channel for each C6 loudspeaker in the system. Precise setup of equalization, delay and crossover filters will ensure optimal in-vehicle performance.

0.75-inch (19 mm) Aluminum Dome Tweeters
C1 component tweeters are engineered to deliver refined performance, with excellent off-axis response and high-frequency extension. Utilizing true, edge driven 0.75-inch aluminum domes with silk suspensions, the C1-075ct component tweeters provide smooth, detailed reproduction of treble frequencies from 4 to 24 kHz.
The tweeters can be flush-mounted or surface-mounted with the supplied fixtures to fit a wide variety of installation needs. Inline, outboard, 12 dB / octave, high-pass filters are included to ensure smooth response and reliability. These filters also are equipped with Advanced Tweeter Protection Circuitry to improve power handling and reliability.

C1 speakers deliver real substance and great audio performance in a format designed for easy fit behind factory grilles.
To facilitate fit, multi-application adaptor rings are included with the C1-650x allowing easy, drop-in installation in vehicles equipped with oversized 6.5-inch and 6.75-inch speaker openings. Without the ring, the speaker will fit into many “6-inch” speaker locations as well.
C1 woofer drivers benefit from proprietary FEA modeling and JL Audio’s expertise in low-frequency driver design. This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly, while maintaining a smooth, dynamic, low distortion sound. At the core of the C1-650x is a proprietary, stamped, steel 6.50-inch (165 mm) frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround on the front, and a carefully engineered flat Conex? spider at the top of the voice coil, to precisely control the voice coil’s motion. Tinsel leads are carefully routed and attached to the spider to prevent fatigue and buzzing. These are the same kinds of features and materials normally found on much more expensive loudspeakers.
Equipped with a true, edge-driven, aluminum dome tweeter, C1 speakers stand further apart from others in its category with superior high-frequency clarity and definition. The tweeter?s design has inherently excellent off-axis response and high-frequency extension.
