Stealthbox for 2007-2013 Toyota Tundra CrewMax

Toyota’s largest truck offers amazing people space, but doesn’t leave much for a traditional subwoofer enclosure. It’s a good thing we don’t let conventional thinking get in the way of creating Stealthbox solutions.

Using the remarkable 13TW5v2 thin-line subwoofer, we have created a powerful Stealthbox that can be installed behind the back seat of the big Tundra. One is enough for creating outstanding sub-bass with deep extension and solid impact, but for those looking for maximum performance, installing a pair of them will deliver up to 6dB more output.

The Hard Data: Contains one 13TW5v2-4 subwoofer in a sealed enclosure. 600 watt power handling. Wired for 4 ohm mono. Installs behind the rear bench. One notch of seat travel is lost with installation and full-recline of the seat-back is only available when the seat is in its more forward positions. If the vehicle is equipped with the factory JBL subwoofer, you must do one of the following to install the Stealthbox: A) Permanently modify (cut) the factory trim panel.  B) Obtain a replacement “no-subwoofer” trim panel from Toyota Parts prior to installation.

Stealthbox for 2021-Up Ford Bronco

Ford’s legendary SUV combines cool retro styling with impressive on- and off-road capabilities, along with a highly functional interior for passengers and cargo alike. If you’re looking for an upgrade to the factory audio options, the Stealthbox model offers meaningful bass reproduction.

Featuring a rugged, custom-molded sealed enclosure, this Stealthbox model houses an innovative, 10-inch TW1 thin-line driver and installs behind the passenger side panel in the cargo area. The result is powerful, deep bass that’s worthy of Ford’s celebrated nameplate.

The Hard Data: Contains one 10TW1-2 subwoofer in a sealed enclosure; 300-watt power handling; wired for 2-ohm mono. Installs behind factory panel in the passenger side rear cargo area. Subwoofer is protected by a black steel mesh grille and concealed by a cosmetic grille (both included). Installation requires removal of OEM subwoofer (if equipped) and permanent modification of the factory panel. Fits 2-door and 4-door models. Will not fit Bronco Sport models.

Stealthbox for 2022-Up Toyota Tundra CrewMax

The CrewMax configuration of Toyota’s mightiest truck combines bold styling and a voluminous cabin with four full sized doors. Unfortunately, their engineers left little space for a traditional subwoofer enclosure.

Our Stealthbox model design team met this challenge and created a subwoofer solution that fits snugly beneath the rear seat, hidden from prying eyes. Outfitted with an innovative 12-inch TW3 thin-line driver, this Stealthbox features a rugged, custom-molded, sealed enclosure design. The results are powerful, deep bass output that’s completely out of sight.

The Hard Data: Contains one 12TW3-D4 subwoofer in a sealed enclosure; 400-watt power handling; wired for 2-ohm mono. Installs in storage tray under the driver’s side rear seat. Includes black steel mesh grille. Will not fit hybrid engine models.

TW1 12-inch Subwoofer (300 W, 2 Ω)

Built on JL Audio’s patented thin-line subwoofer technology, the 12TW1 delivers a powerful combination of shallow mounting depth and excursion capability, while operating in insanely small enclosures (0.65 cu.ft. / 18.4 liters). This, combined with a special cast alloy frame design, makes the 12TW1 capable of operating in extremely tight spaces. These include under-seat installations in trucks, 2-seat sports cars and many other creative applications requiring a compact, low profile subwoofer design.

JL Audio’s patented thin-line woofer technology compresses the architecture of the 12TW1 using a “concentric tube” structure built into the injection-molded cone body. This structure supports the voice coil and a full annular spider, while permitting the placement of a large motor structure further forward in the speaker than with conventional designs.

The 12TW1 also features a clever frame design that minimizes the frontal clearance required for the excursion of the driver. This is accomplished by recessing the suspension attachment surface, so that most of the forward excursion occurs within the frame’s dimensions. Thanks to this feature, the 12TW1 requires only 0.87 inches (22 mm) of frontal clearance, even with its grille installed. This allows for more efficient use of space and increased enclosure volume within a given overall depth.

Even though the 12TW1 is optimized for an enclosure much smaller than any other JL Audio twelve-inch Subwoofer, it never sounds like a big woofer struggling in a tiny box…instead, it delivers all the rich, deep, controlled bass you have come to expect from a JL Audio subwoofer system.
