The C1-650se component system is engineered to deliver remarkable fidelity and outstanding value in a format that easily fits in factory locations.
Outfitted with pure, silk dome tweeters, the C1-650se component system stands above others in its category with silky smooth, high-frequency clarity and definition. The 1-inch tweeter’s edge-driven design delivers excellent off-axis response and treble extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and Ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, along with the superior strength of a neodymium magnet circuit. Outboard, 3rd order, high-pass in-line filters, with Advanced Tweeter Protection Circuitry, are also included to guard against high-distortion damage and improve power handling. For maximum installation versatility, surface and flush tweeter mounts are also included.
C1 woofer drivers benefit from proprietary FEA modeling and JL Audio’s expertise in low-frequency driver design. This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly while maintaining a smooth, dynamic, low-distortion sound. At the core of the C1-650 woofer is a proprietary, stamped, steel 6.5-inch (165 mm) frame and DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded, polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround on the front, and a carefully engineered flat Conex® spider at the top of the voice coil, to precisely control the voice coil’s motion. Tinsel leads are carefully routed and attached to each spider to prevent fatigue and buzzing. These are the same kinds of features and materials normally found on much more expensive loudspeakers.
To maximize fit, multi-application adaptor rings are included for the woofers, allowing easy, drop-in installation in vehicles equipped with oversized 6.5-inch and 6.75-inch speaker openings. Without the ring, the woofers will also fit into many “6-inch” speaker locations as well.

There are times when an installation calls for a separate woofer and tweeter and other times when a coaxial is the better approach. With the Evolution® C3 Convertible Component Systems, the same product can be deployed in either configuration, delivering outstanding audio power and quality in each application.
The new C3-600 expands the C3 lineup with a direct-fit product for many Japanese vehicles that will not accept a full-size 6.5-inch speaker.
The C3-600 system features 6-inch (150 mm) component woofers with oversized 1.2-inch (30.5 mm) voice coils, mineral-filled polypropylene cones and injection-molded polymer baskets. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio’s vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems.
The C3 tweeters are built with 1-inch silk dome diaphragms that deliver powerful, extended response, on and off axis. Flush-mounting and surface-mounting fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation needs. They can also be mounted onto the woofers in a coaxial format using the included fixtures.
C3 crossover networks are compact and built with premium component parts, including Mylar capacitors and segmented air-core inductors. Four levels of tweeter attenuation are provided, as well as three levels of mid-range presence adjustment, for twelve possible voicing combinations!
Woofer grilles are included, each consisting of a black grille tray and a black steel mesh grille with an electroformed JL Audio logo.

Born from shared technologies used in our flagship C7 speakers, the C6-650 component system combines the smoothness and transparency of a premium silk dome tweeter with a top-flight component woofer to create a loudspeaker system with exceptional refinement and dynamic capability.
Benefiting from vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems of JL Audio, the 6.5 inch (165 mm) C6 component woofers feature purpose-engineered, cast alloy frames outfitted with our Elevated Frame Cooling technology. A DMA-optimized, forged and machined motor system generates outstanding midbass impact with ultra-low distortion.
The 1″ (25 mm) C6 component tweeters feature edge-driven pure silk dome diaphragms for smooth high-frequency performance with remarkable off-axis response and damping. Neodymium motors and ferrofluid cooling provide high-magnetic flux and improved reliability with extended response from a very compact motor system. Surface- and flush-mount fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation applications.
Premium passive crossover networks are included with each C6-650 component system. Featuring four levels of tweeter adjustment, these outboard filter networks are equipped with premium polyester film and electrolytic capacitors as well as low-loss air-core inductors — all accessible beneath a protective, polycarbonate cover. Each C6 passive crossover also includes an advanced electronic tweeter protection circuit designed to minimize the possibility of tweeter failure.

C1 component tweeters are engineered to deliver refined performance, with excellent off-axis response and high-frequency extension. Utilizing true, edge driven 0.75-inch aluminum domes with silk suspensions, the C1-075ct component tweeters provide smooth, detailed reproduction of treble frequencies from 4 to 24 kHz.
The tweeters can be flush-mounted or surface-mounted with the supplied fixtures to fit a wide variety of installation needs. Inline, outboard, 12 dB / octave, high-pass filters are included to ensure smooth response and reliability. These filters also are equipped with Advanced Tweeter Protection Circuitry to improve power handling and reliability.
